Our History
GO Airport Shuttle traces its roots to GroundNet, an association of airport transportation companies founded in 1993 to share technology and industry knowledge. In 2007, The GO Group, LLC was formed as the official national parent organization to build on that foundation, introducing the GO Airport Shuttle brand as a unified global identity.
Several long-standing regional providers were early participants, including independent operators in New York, Florida, and Chicago. GO Airport Express is a founding member of the network and remains a distinct legal entity servicing the Chicago market. While we honor the 1853 carriage-service heritage of our Chicago member, the network has evolved far beyond its local origins.
Today, GO Airport Shuttle offers service in more than 85 locations worldwide. The network includes a mix of long-established regional companies, each operating locally while participating in a broader, centralized system that supports reservations, dispatch, and customer service for the entire brand.
