GO Airport Shuttle - Airport Shuttle, Airport Car Service, & Around Town Rides

About GO Airport Shuttle

GO Airport Shuttle is a network of independently owned transportation companies brought together under The GO Group, LLC in 2007. The idea was simple: connect trusted local operators through a shared brand and booking platform so travelers could access consistent airport transportation in multiple cities.

Today, GO Airport Shuttle offers service in more than 85 locations worldwide. The network includes a mix of long-established regional companies, each operating locally while participating in a broader system that supports reservations, dispatch, and customer service.

Services across the network include airport shuttle service, private airport transportation, car service, and larger vehicle options for groups. While offerings may vary by location, the focus remains the same: pre-arranged transportation between airports, homes, hotels, and business destinations.

Our History

GO Airport Shuttle traces its roots to GroundNet, an association of airport transportation companies founded in 1993. GroundNet brought together independent operators to share technology, operational standards, and industry knowledge at a time when airport shuttle services were still largely regional.

In 2007, The GO Group, LLC was formed to build on that foundation. The GO Airport Shuttle brand was introduced as a way for local companies to operate under a common identity while maintaining their own fleets, teams, and day-to-day operations.

Several long-standing transportation providers were early participants in the network, including operators in Chicago, New York, Connecticut, Washington DC, Los Angeles, and South Florida. Many of these companies had already been serving their markets for decades before joining GO.

One of the earliest historical connections within the network traces back to Chicago. GO Airport Express, a founding member, evolved from Continental Airport Express, which itself is tied to the Parmalee Transfer Company. Founded in 1853 by Frank Parmelee, the company began as a horse-drawn carriage service transporting passengers and luggage between railroad stations in Chicago.

As transportation evolved, so did the business. What started with carriages adapted to motor vehicles, then to airport shuttle service, and later to coordinated ground transportation systems serving major metropolitan areas.

That progression, from local carriage service to modern airport transportation network, reflects the broader story behind GO Airport Shuttle today: locally operated companies connected through a shared system, serving travelers across cities, regions, and countries.
