Beat the Heat at These Sizzling Hotel Pools

What better way to beat the heat of summer than by relaxing in a hotel pool? The travel experts at The GO Group LLC, the world’s largest airport shuttle company, did their research and came up with these sizzling spots.

With views that would make any deity jealous, the pools of the Garden of the Gods Collection in Colorado Springs cite the best views in the region. Adults can relax in the (seasonal) child-free infinity edge outdoor spa pool that’s heated year-round. The pool overlooks the stunning red rock spires of Garden of the Gods Park that perfectly frame the grandeur of Pikes Peak-America’s Mountain. Kids can have their fun in the Splash Garden at the Family Friendly Recreation Center, a garden-themed splash pad with over 40 sprayers – including flowers, leaves, water buckets, split jet streams and spray loops.

At the 40-room luxury Lake Austin Spa Resort guests can choose from three pools, plus steam rooms, saunas and whirlpools. The most unique is the Pool Barn, a junior Olympic-length pool inside a barn. The doors can be rolled up to let the breeze flow in from the surrounding hill country. Water lovers can swim laps, float, or take meditation and yoga classes, offered as part of the property’s Ripple Effects summer water program that ties back to the health benefits of being in, near or on a body of water.

The pool at Surfjack Hotel & Swim Club in Honolulus greets guests with a whimsical “Wish You Were Here!” painted on the bottom. The Oahu hotspot also offers poolside events includes movie premiers, story sessions and a summertime party series with guest DJs, retail pop-ups and specialty cocktails.

The new Marriott Marquis Houston sends guests to the roof top to float around its Texas-shaped lazy river, enjoy a cocktail at High Dive bar, or make a splash in the heated infinity pool – , all on the rooftop overlooking Discovery Green Park.

Perched high above the six corners of Damen, Milwaukee and North Avenues in Chicago’s the trendy Bucktown neighborhood is The Robey. Built in an Art Deco masterpiece, it’s been named as one of Chicago’s hottest new hotels by publications such as Vogue and Jetsetter Magazine. The architecturally significant neighborhood gem features the Cabana Club with includes a unique swim area with fantastic downtown views.

The roof deck at Dumbo’s eco-minded 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge, which opened in February, 2017, consists of bar The 1 Rooftop, multiple lounge areas, and a geometric, aquamarine-tinted pool that overlooks the East River.
