Fire Island is a great place to visit with family or friends. It’s beautiful all year round, but the summer time is truly when the island comes alive. The 32-mile long island is home to free roaming deer, and other wildlife. There are no cars allowed, and it is only accessible by ferry, boat or water taxi, so it is truly a wonderful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. While Fire Island is only accessible by boat, the best way to get to the port is with a GO shuttle.
