How long does it take to get from LAX to popular destinations?
Drive times from LAX range from about 15 minutes to Santa Monica up to 75 minutes or more to Anaheim during rush hour. Most trips to the Westside and Downtown take 25 to 60 minutes depending on traffic and time of day.

Headed to Disneyland?
Skip the rental car. If you’re here for a trip to Disneyland, most hotels and resorts are along Harbor Boulevard, which is a short walk from the gates. Book a ride from LAX straight to your hotel and save on the rental and the parking.
A few things worth knowing before you book your car or shuttle to LAX:
- Add 15 to 20 minutes for the horseshoe itself during heavy arrival banks. That’s before you’ve left the airport.
- Downtown has an escape hatch. The I-110 ExpressLanes can save 15 to 20 minutes at peak, and our drivers use them when the trip warrants it.
- Santa Monica is short, not fast. Sepulveda and Lincoln are surface streets that go stop-and-go, and the 405 bottlenecks where it meets the 10.
- Orange County is not one place. North OC around Anaheim and Fullerton runs close to the Disneyland numbers. South OC, meaning Irvine, Newport Beach, or Mission Viejo, routinely takes 90 to 120 minutes in the evening rush. Tell us your actual destination and we’ll quote the real trip.
- Leaving for Anaheim between 3:30 and 6:30 PM on a weekday puts you in the commuter flow at the I-105, I-605, and I-5 interchange. Worth an earlier pickup if your schedule allows.
- Plan to arrive at least 2 hours before domestic flights and 3 hours before international departures. Our booking system will automatically suggest recommended pick-up times based upon your flight time and your pick-up location.

Where do I meet my driver at LAX?
At LAX, private service meets you at the Outer Island on the Lower/Arrivals Level, and shared ride passengers meet at the LAX-it lot beside Terminal 1. We text your exact spot when you land.
Private Service: the Outer Island. Head down to the Lower/Arrivals Level and go to the Outer Island, the marked white curb directly outside baggage claim. Look for the overhead signs reading Passenger Pick-Up. That’s where your driver meets you, and it bypasses the remote LAX-it lot entirely.
Once you land, we text you the specific pillar to stand at. LAX numbers the columns along the Outer Island by terminal, so you’ll get something like Column 4H at Terminal 4 or Column 6D at Terminal 6. Instead of scanning a busy curb, you walk to a numbered post and your chauffeur is there.
Pre-arranged private rides at LAX are handled by TCP-licensed carriers, and that license is what permits pickup at the Outer Island instead of the LAX-it lot.
Airport shuttle: LAX-it. Exit the double doors outside baggage claim and board the LAX-it bus. All shuttle pickups happen at the LAX-it area beside Terminal 1, because LAX requires per-person services to stage there. What’s different from hailing a ride on landing is what’s waiting: your seat is already reserved, your fare was locked in when you booked, and there’s no surge multiplier because you happened to land at 6pm on a Friday.
