Music, history and more in Nashville!

There’s more to Nashville than great country music. And while a visit to the Grand Ole Opry is still a “must-do”, GO, through its partner CitySites, offers discounts to these alternative activities.

History and civics buffs will love Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage, home of the seventh president of the United States. Declared a National Historic Landmark in 1961, the museum has been open to the public since 1889.

The property is considered to be the most accurately preserved early presidential home in the country and, comprised of 1,120 acres, one of the largest and most visited. The grounds include a historic garden, field quarters, historical markers, wildlife and more.

Located only minutes from downtown and Gaylord Opryland Resort, this is a must-do when visiting Music City. A Grounds Pass to The Hermitage provides access to tour the museum and exhibit, film, grounds, garden and tomb, and audio tour as well as Jackson’s tomb.

If Mansion Tour tickets are available, the sightseeing pass holder can upgrade at check-in. The Hermitage hosts a variety of special events throughout the year which can be found on the website.

No trip to the Music City would be complete without a visit to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The museum experience includes the Hall of Fame rotunda, the historic RCA Studio B and the Hatch Show Print, a working press print shop founded in 1879.  Enthusiasts will enjoy many world class exhibitions, live events and family activities, plus a library and research center that houses a collection of documents, recordings, and other materials related to country music.

Purchase tickets here to jump the wait line of The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum with access to all of the museum’s exhibit galleries, the library and research center, and a variety of public programming events.
