Whether home or away this Mother’s Day weekend, you can use the holiday to really give back to all the mothers out there. The GO Group, LLC, suggests participating in a run or walk organized to support causes pertinent to women.

Los Angeles: EIF Revlon 5K Run/Walk for Women, May 8
Join the Entertainment Industry Foundation and Revlon at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum Saturday, May 8, to help raise funds to combat women’s cancers. Events leading up to the 5K run/walk begin at 7 a.m. Beneficiaries include the Gilda Radner Cancer Detection Program, Revlon/UCLA Women’s Cancer Research Program, USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and more.
Philadelphia: Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, May 9
This is the 20th anniversary of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, a 5K run/walk that raises money to fight breast cancer. Events begin at 7 a.m. on Sunday, May 9 at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
New York City: R Baby Run/Walk, May 9
Over 9,000 will gather on Sunday, May 9 to help ensure newborns receive the best emergency medical care. Participate in a 4-mile run or 1.3-mile walk to help raise funds for R Baby foundation, which funds and advocates for pediatric emergency rooms. The event kicks off at 8 a.m. in Central Park.
Chicago: Walk to Empower, May 9
On Sunday, May 9, join a 1- or 3-mile, non-competitive walk that supports the fight against breast cancer. The course begins in Grant Park’s Butler Field. Check-in starts at 6:30 a.m.
